Associate Attorney

Egality Law LLP is an extremely busy, small firm in Los Angeles, California, that represents labor unions and employees, predominantly teachers and teachers’ unions. We are looking for an associate attorney with 0-5 years’ experience to assist with our robust caseload of court actions, administrative hearings, and arbitrations. We seek an attorney who is a self-starter, hardworking, motivated, firmly dedicated to employee rights and eager to take on as much responsibility as they can handle.

The associate’s duties will include communicating with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel; drafting and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; performing legal research; drafting briefs, pleadings, and correspondence; client advocacy; all aspects of litigation, including administrative hearings, law and motion, arbitrations, court trials and appellate practice. Although we train, support and develop our attorneys, we encourage associates to assume responsibility for their own clients and caseload as soon as they are ready and comfortable doing so.

• California Bar Admission or awaiting July 2026 California Bar Exam results

Preferred Qualifications

• Conversational Spanish
• Past experience with a labor union or public interest organization
• Judicial Clerkship/Externship, Law Review
