Robert M. Cheverie & Associates, P.C. is a five-attorney firm based out of East Hartford, Connecticut representing Labor Unions and related Employee Benefit Funds. Our office currently has an opening for an associate attorney with one (1) to six (6) years of ERISA compliance experience.  The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include providing advice to benefit plan personnel, trustees and unions on the full range of issues faced by multiemployer benefit plans, drafting and reviewing plan documents, service provider contracts and participant communications, and representing employee benefit plans and boards of trustees before federal courts and regulatory agencies.

Applicants should possess an understanding of ERISA, IRC, HIPAA, the ACA and other applicable laws, a strong academic background, analytic, research, and writing skills, and the ability to work well with clients, administrators, other employee benefit plan professionals, and fellow attorneys.
