UFCW Local 7, the largest private sector labor union In Colorado, is looking for a bright and aggressive Associate Counsel for its Legal Department.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the Union in a variety of legal matters including labor arbitration and litigation practice before the National Labor Relations Board
• Occasional Appearances in Colorado State and Federal Courts or before other federal agencies
• Provide advice on a wide variety of legal matters
• Other activities as assigned by the President or General Counsel

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or be eligible to become licensed in Colorado within six (6) months of hire
• Successful applicants will have at least four (4) years of practice post-admission, with an emphasis on litigation or similar adversarial proceedings
• Labor and Employment experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent writing and legal research skills
• A passion for working with and for working families
