Open position: Benefits Law Associate Attorney (At Least 4 Years Experience)

Job duties include:
1. Providing general and legal advice to the firm’s diverse union and employee benefit plan clients
2. Attending client meetings
3. Representing workers at grievance arbitration hearings
4. Handling ERISA related litigation, including enforcement of contribution obligations, subrogation, benefit denial and withdrawal liability cases, and
5. Defending the firm’s employee benefit plan clients and union clients in administrative hearings and in state and federal court.

Dedication to the labor movement, strong writing and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail,
organization and time management are very important, and real estate experience is a
plus.  The candidate should be a motivated self-starter with superb judgment and
communication skills, and must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in California.

WRR associates are paid on a pay step scale based on years of experience performing relevant work.  For this position, the scale ranges from $102,400.00 to $122,000.00, plus benefits, including participation in a defined benefit pension plan, 4 weeks of vacation, annual employer 401(k) contribution equal to 5% of salary, and 100% employer paid premiums for health, dental and vision insurance for the employee and all eligible dependents. WRR provides group life and AD&D insurance and group Long-Term Disability insurance, employer provided cell phone and laptop, and paid holidays. WRR offers associates commuter benefits, dependent care benefits, a flexible spending account (FSA), and an option to participate in a tax-free student loan assistance program.  Associates are also eligible for bonuses.
