Progressive union side law firm with a New York based practice representing unions, employees, and employee benefit funds, is seeking an associate attorney with experience in union-side labor law and ERISA benefits law. The firm is located in Melville, New York and represents clients throughout the State of New York. All attorneys in our firm have extensive client contact and are exposed to litigation in federal and state courts as well as arbitration proceedings. The firm is seeking an attorney with three to five years, or more, of experience that can meet these requirements. We seek attorneys with a demonstrated commitment to social justice and workers’ rights. The firm’s practice necessitates significant independent responsibility, diligent case management, and a willingness to learn various aspects of union/employment law, including LMRA and Taft-Hartley ERISA Fund work.
Excellent research, writing, and organizational abilities required. Candidates seeking personal and professional growth in an established and expanding law practice are encouraged to apply.

Anticipated salary for a candidate with three to five years of demonstrated experience is $140,000 to $165,000, plus benefits.
