Associate Attorney (2 Positions): Labor Litigation or General Union-Side Labor Practice
SR Holguin, PC, a Los Angeles-based union-side labor law firm, is seeking associate attorneys to join our practice.
We represent progressive labor unions in a broad range of matters, including litigation in state and federal courts, proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and other administrative agencies, organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, unfair labor practice litigation, contract interpretation, internal union matters, and day-to-day legal counseling.
We are currently seeking candidates interested in one of two primary areas of practice.
Union Labor Litigation
This position is ideal for candidates who have a serious interest in developing as litigators. While our practice includes all aspects of labor law, the successful candidate will spend a substantial portion of their time handling litigation, arbitration, motion practice and administrative proceedings. We are looking for candidates who enjoy legal research and writing, strategic problem-solving, courtroom advocacy, and who are excited to gain increasing responsibility through meaningful hands-on experience with mentorship and support.
General Union-Side Labor Practice
This position is ideal for candidates who are interested in developing a broad-based union-side labor practice, who enjoy helping labor organizations navigate complex legal and strategic challenges. Associates work closely with experienced attorneys advising unions on collective bargaining, contract administration and interpretation, grievance and arbitration matters, organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, internal union governance, and day-to-day labor relations issues.
Qualifications
For both positions, we are seeking candidates with a genuine commitment to the labor movement who possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills, solid academic credentials, and have a desire to grow into increased responsibility with mentorship and support.
We are accepting applications from upcoming and recent law school graduates, judicial law clerks, and newly admitted and experienced attorneys. Candidates must be admitted to the California Bar or be eligible for admission and willing to obtain it promptly upon hire. We currently operate on a hybrid schedule, though work arrangements may evolve based on client and firm needs. We value in-office collaboration and mentorship, particularly for junior attorneys.
The salary range for an Associate Attorney is $92,000 to $150,000 per year plus generous benefits.
